What we do
Our job is to make funny things sound funnier, and weird things sound extra weird. We clean up dialogue and make uppercuts sound like thunderclaps, unless you want them to sound like cat footsteps—we can do that too. The way we see it, every project deserves high-end audio post, whether it’s playing in a movie theater or on an iPhone.
It’s a joy to be involved early on a project, but we're just as comfortable coming in at the very last second to tie everything together. And while we both bring our own style to every session, we work closely together to make scheduling under tight timelines a breeze.
For us, creative and technical details go hand in hand. Making the tech stuff seamless and invisible is just part of the game. Here's a snapshot of what we currently offer:
- Creative sound design and mixing
- Online version review and notes via frame.io
- Stereo, 5.1 and spatial audio formats for VR
- Digital video layback
- Standards-ready audio for broadcast, digital media, theatrical trailers, apps and live events
Through our partners, we also provide:
- Location/production sound teams
- Original music and licensing
Who We Are
Experienced sound designer/mixers and nice guys.
Studio work started for Josh at the age of 15 in Houston, TX. A love of music, recording and the prospect of seasons led him to New York and jobs at composer Philip Glass’ studio, Jive Records’ Battery Studios, and as an engineer with Grammy Award winning producer Andrés Levin. After touring Europe and the Middle East performing with Levin’s band, he made the transition to sound for picture, co-founding Eggmen in 2006. Since then, his sound design, mixing, and music have been featured in promos, commercials, documentaries, short films, theatrical trailers, digital media and live events. In the past year, in addition to a full slate of client work, he created a web series that was bought by HGTV, did some voiceovers for Hillary and put his teeth through his lip racing motorcycles at Oakland Valley Raceway.
With more than a decade of experience under his belt, Jared has sound designed and mixed for virtually all of the major networks. In the process, he has won his fair share of Promax awards and conquered the heart of producer after producer with his unrelenting sarcasm. Whether he's gently massaging, or boldly deconstructing sound waves, Jared loves messing with audio and has developed new techniques that help incorporate creative sound throughout the entire post-production process. In 2016, he presented those ideas in a Promax presentation dubbed "Collaborative Audio." More recently, Jared and his family have moved to the Hudson Valley, where he now mixes, records, and tends a small flock of chickens.
